Registration to the Summit is free and will be for a fully virtual event.
When you register for the Summit, you will:
be asked to indicate which thematic track breakout session you would like to participate in on the afternoons of Monday, 13 September and Tuesday, 14 September. Whilst participation is not compulsory, we hope that you will join and help us achieve the desired Summit outcomes;
have the opportunity to apply for a data grant, subject to specific criteria listed below;
be able to register for the Summit’s side events taking place before and after the event.
The registration process requires your contact details for us to be able to communicate and update you on the developments of the Summit programme.
To maximise your participation, we ask you to familiarise yourself with the Summit programme and the supporting documents that will be posted from time to time on the dedicated Documents page.
Application: CLOSED (30 August 2021)
We have secured sponsorships for data grants for African participants (excluding from South Africa) to enable participation by delegates who have a valuable contribution but perhaps do not have sufficient data to allow them to livestream for three days. This data grant can be applied for during the registration process and is limited to 200 participants.
Participants must be from an African country outside South Africa
A short motivation covering the following (max. 200 words in total):
Why you require data and what your limitations are
What can you contribute by participating
Which SDG activities you are currently involved with
Which goals you hope to accomplish by attending the Summit
